The Żupny Castle in Wieliczka is presently used as the headquarters of the Krakow Saltworks Museum, but it dates all the way back to the thirteenth century. It was once a comprehensive management center for a powerful enterprise associated with the salt mines in Bochnia and Wieliczka. This place was the backdrop for the everyday lives of miners, officials, and everyone else associated with mining this precious mineral. Presently, tourists can visit its historic walls and admire one of the world’s most valuable salt shaker collections. Thanks to the use of our outdoor lighting systems, the castle complex also has a truly enchanting ambience at nighttime.
